Seriously folks, has anyone not seen headline news like this regarding the Holiday Retail selling season before now? Really???
Toy shortages expected for holidays
The "Executives" say: Additional safety tests and inventory cuts could mean that the hottest toys sell out weeks before Christmas.
Yeah, sure, whatever... here's the "dire" thoughts, probably designed to motivate your "feel sorry" gland and make you run out to grab up those soon to be gone, special trinkets;
"That's bad news for parents. But its really bad news for the $22 billion U.S. toy industry, which has been struggling with stagnant growth."
Awwww...
Here's why this is going to happen -
"Beefed-up product testing following the recent spate of toy recalls is putting a crimp in the flow of inventory to store shelves, said Chris Byrnes, an independent toy consultant."
Pay attention to this;
"What's more, big-box retailers like Wal-Mart and Target are likely to tighten their holiday inventory, Byrnes said.
As a result, Byrne suspects that the retailers will be hard-pressed to restock the most-popular toys by December."
Likely to... and... suspects??? Now there are truly some cold, hard facts to hang your panic stricken hat on! Can't you just imagine how hard-pressed we're all going to be when those prices go up again?
Time to re-install that "S" for stupid tattoo on our foreheads once more, obviously these companies will never, ever figure out how to get this right (yeah, uh huh) unless you might believe this is the answer;
